About our guests this week:
Katie Roberts and Taylor Turkington are co-founders and co-directors of The Verity Fellowship, which has recently merged with The Gospel Coalition, and they are now the staff for TGC’s Women’s Training Network.
Katie and Taylor are both passionate about proclaiming the Gospel of Christ to women and training them to handle Scripture. They have developed a conference in the Portland, OR area designed to help train women to use the Bible in the various callings and ministries of their life. The Verity Fellowship also has a podcast with several episodes full of excellent teaching and encouragement.
Discussed in the episode:
We talked with Katie and Taylor about what Verity is all about, and discussed the post on their page called What Makes Verity, Verity?
In the episode, Bethany read a quote from the introduction to Word-Filled Women’s Ministry: Loving and Serving the Church, which you can find at Crossway.org and Amazon.com.
This episode is the second part of our little three-part podcast mini series on women’s discipleship. In our previous episode, we talked with Gretchen Ronnevik about Gospel Mentoring. In Episode 16, we will wrap up the mini series with a Pastor Perspectives episode, where we talk with Pastor Matthew Kruse and women’s ministry leader Patti Rosell from Seven Mile Road Church near Boston, MA. Pastor Matt reached out a few months ago to talk about how they are shepherding and training women in their church, and we look forward to sharing his perspective with you all.
