Glenna Marshall is married to her pastor, William, and lives in rural southeast Missouri, where she tries to keep up with her two energetic sons. She is the author of The Promise is His Presence (P&R) and Everyday Faithfulness (Crossway/TGC, 2020). Gretchen Ronnevik is a mom to six hilarious kids from toddler to teenager. She works as a homeschool mom, writer, and tutor to middle-school kids in classical studies. She authored a training course for intergenerational relationships in women’s ministry called Gospel Mentoring. She and her husband, Knut, live in Minnesota on the family farm. Bethany Barendregt is wife to Alex and mama to five wonderful people. She homeschools her kids and works from home as founder and creative director for Women Encouraged. She also hosts the WE podcast. Bethany is passionate about Bible literacy and enjoys writing as a means to share how the gospel changes everything. Women Encouraged exists to encourage women in our community to grow closer to Christ Jesus, finding their identity in Him and being shaped by His Word. We are passionate about having a Titus 2 model of Godly, spiritually-mature women teaching and ministering to other women.
Our leadership team is made up of women from different denominations, united by our commitment to Scripture and Christian doctrine. Our goal is to provide gospel-centered fellowship and teaching that is grounded in the truth of Scripture.
Women Encouraged originated in Canada, where we’ve been hosting sold-out yearly conference retreats for over 5 years. The WE organization also publishes articles and host a podcast.
